Daddy’s Home

I’ve never been this happy to have my fiancé home.
It’s been weeks of loneliness, sadness, anxiety, fear, sleepless nights, headaches, and emotional turmoil. Having him here—being able to see him, touch him, smell him, feel his presence—brought me a sense of peace I didn’t realize I needed this badly.

He didn’t come alone.
He came with a surprise—a Cane Corso puppy I’ve been waiting for since May 2025. In the middle of everything going on, that moment brought a small sense of joy.

We went to see Eloira together for the first time.
Even though it was a happy moment, it was also a hard one.

He had only seen her through FaceTime before. Seeing her in person, so tiny, connected to machines, was a lot.

She was still on the oscillator, that loud, vibrating machine. Her blood pressure has been high over the past few days, and her stats have been fluctuating. He was trying to hide his feelings, but it was clear he wasn’t handling seeing her like that very well.
